A pro-renewables social media campaign led by Iberdrola Renewables known as “#IHeartRenewables” did not just generate more than 3.7 million impressions. It also made one very big “impression” on the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), which recognized the campaign with its 2014 Spotlight Award for Social Media/Digital Communications.
This is it! For seven weeks, we encouraged you, our fans, to express why you care about wind energy and the results have blown us away — and, yes, with every pun intended! From pictures of wind farms around the country and world, to short animations and video testimonials, it is clear that you stand with Iberdrola Renewables and the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) as we lead the transformation to a clean energy future.
Bill Beall, one of the landowners from our Barton Chapel Wind Farm in Texas, has owned land since 1983 and leases just over 1,000 acres to Iberdrola Renewables for the wind farm. In addition to tending his cattle and hosting 15 wind turbines, Bill enjoys spending weekends there with his wife Sara and their first grandchild.
